A Game of Thrones (Episode 3)

On to the high-backed throne now, to some extent a bit easier than the other as it was still horizontal on the ground ~ meaning I could get right over it and move around to carve from different angles. This time the request was for an “Excalibur”- type sword with more leaves and again, relevant text to the trail.

Starting with the sword; positioning it needed a lot of thought as the back of the seat bent to one side ~ if I placed the sword right in the centre it looked as though it was bent too. I wanted the tip of the sword to reach into the pint of the throne, so finished with it in this position. Oak leaves would come down the right, giving it some balance.
