Allen Stichler – Wood Carving carving-news Fourth Week at Mires Beck

Fourth Week at Mires Beck

A lovely bright sunny day at Mires Beck  ~  just when we feared we had seen the last of summer  ~  and a pleasant day all round, with plenty of nice carving (and the ever-popular cakes and scones kindly baked by Mires Beck’s Carol).

Kay and Scott, both back for their third course, and as usual producing some beautiful carvings; this time they’re creating a leaping hare and a squirrel. Mum-and-son team Jess and Isaac hard at work on their great design of a boat, complete with rolling waves and a friendly-looking whale.

Tony’s excellent duck design, making full use of a tall log, and making great progress in his first week.

TOADSTOOL CORNER

More snaps of Fairyland at Mires Beck ~  amazing groups of Fly Agarics that look like something from a children’s book or film-set.
