Many thanks to Jay Thorpe, the Outdoor Education teacher at Bootham Primary School, York, who delivered four oak posts this morning; they have been storing the wood for some time since their plan of burning some lettering down each side was thwarted, and have now decided that carved words are the way forward.
The words “May Peace Prevail on Earth” will be carved in 16 different languages (one on each of the four sides of the four posts).
Once sanded, carved and oiled, they’ll look great!
