Hand Luggage

Once the Troll’s hand was finished, arrangements had to be made to transport it to Northwood Fairy Trail, near York. Luckily, young Ashley was on hand to assist with his white van, and proved himself to be an all round good egg. After some shenanigans getting the carving in the back of the van, we set off, little knowing that was the easy part.

Once on site, we had to somehow move the hand from the van to its position under a Pixie Bridge, in an empty dyke. This was around 30 metres away, and after “walking” and rocking the carved hand along the path, it was supported with straps and lowered into position.
