Borrowing the Earth

The next panel at Sewerby Hall features a Native American proverb attributed to Chief Seattle: “We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors; we borrow it from our children”

I decided to illustrate this with a deer and fawn carving; the panel this time was one of the biggest on the trail (around 8ft) and apart from a small area near the fawn’s nose, didn’t have any of the corky substance found in a strip on many of the other panels.
